Interesting Things on the Internet: April 29th 2019
- IWOC Technology Policy. A decent set of criteria to judge technology against when deciding what to use. Good to see unions making these considerations and sharing their thoughts, process and choices.
- Reaction of the rich to the Notre Dame fire teaches us a lot about the world we live in. We should rebuild Notre Dame, but it also reminds us that austerity, poverty, etc. could be tackled more than they are, and not doing so is a choice that we're making, or allowing to be made by who we elect as leaders.
- Dollars on the Margins. This has been lost among my many open tabs for ages, but was a good read on the difference being able to afford to live makes to people.
- Collective Action and the Commons: What Have We Learned? Interesting lecture from Elinor Ostrom talking about managing #commons and the need for trust and communication between groups (among other things).
