It is very cool subject? but if you please i want to make a program to know the number of the Cell or the location of cell so how of GIS?

I think it might be possible to get the Cell IDs through the AT command set (see http://www.3gpp.org/ftp/Specs/html-info/27007.htm for details), AT+CREG is, I think, the one you want, but I've never tried it myself.

Or, if you've got a Series 60 phone (Nokie 7650, 3650, etc.) then you could try PsiLoc http://www.psiloc.com/?id=down&kr=2&dz=1&pr=44 as that will record Cell IDs (and presumably it also means there's a way to find out such information on the Symbian OS - I'd guess it would be in the ETel APIs).
