Comments: A New Dimension To "All Back To Mine"

Looks interesting! Surely you could stream at least the audio via your home broadband?

Not sure about the whole 'trouser free' thing though? And what do they mean by 'alternatives to alcohol'? :-)

I'm sure I could stream at least the audio to one other person with my home broadband, but that won't scale to lots of people wanting to receive the stream.

BitTorrent lets you distribute the load by having the people who are downloading a file upload the bits they've already downloaded to someone else. Kind of like the first person streaming it from me, then the second person streaming it from the first, etc.

However, I don't think BitTorrent is geared up to streaming things, because it expects to know the size of the file it's downloading (it creates a file of the finished size as soon as it starts the download, and then fills in the data as it's downloaded), and a stream isn't going to know how big it is. Maybe I should write StreamTorrent :-)
