Jonathan Meades on Regeneration
Uncomfortable watching for anyone in Liverpool or Manchester in places, but an excellent dissection of the regeneration industry. Hat tip to Mike Chitty for sharing it.

Jonathan puts views over with the such wit that it's hard to question what he says and who would want to? Papering over the cracks of a broken post-industrial society is our national pastime. Outside of The City of the City of London, what else is there?
But as Peter O'Toole's character in Ratatouillle said, it's easy and fun to criticise. It's rather harder to be positive.
Still, we are entering, post-post-post modern Britain and if this helps us on the way, we should be encouraged by that.
